Key contribution · Data Residency launch and adoption programs, which his manager writes influenced nearly $100M in enterprise revenue.
Miro already had a large self-serve user base and an enterprise business when Germán joined. His work concerned what enterprise buyers need before they standardize on a product: evidence that security, privacy, governance, and data location meet their requirements — and programs that help customers actually adopt those capabilities.
Context
Product-led growth brings users in; enterprise agreements require more stakeholders, procurement scrutiny, and trust evidence. Miro's challenge was to strengthen enterprise Sales alongside the product-led motion, not to replace it.
Owned Remit
Enterprise Product Marketing, followed by Product Marketing responsibilities for security and privacy. This was a PMM mandate with influence across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and the Trust and Privacy teams.
Research and Buyer Understanding
Germán used primary and secondary research and structured Product feedback to understand enterprise buyer personas and buying processes, and contributed to the competitive and analyst narrative.
Enterprise Trust as a Commercial Requirement
Security and privacy become commercial questions once a large organization is evaluating a product. Germán translated technical controls into buyer value, including encryption and Enterprise Key Management: customer-controlled keys, access revocation, and auditability. Work on the Trust Center and on content standards was carried out together with the Trust, Security, and Privacy teams.
Data Residency: From Launch to Adoption
Germán wrote the EU Data Residency launch announcement, published under his byline in January 2023. The program extended well beyond the announcement: eligibility, migration planning, coordination with Customer Success and Product/Engineering, and validation for EU and US customers. The aim was for customers to use the capability, not only to learn that it existed.
Supported Outcomes
- Bylined EU Data Residency launch and EU and US residency migration programs.
- Enterprise trust materials covering security, compliance, privacy, governance, and encryption.
- Direct-manager corroboration of the Data Residency launch's commercial influence.
